In 2024, during the Mahashivratri season, one of Amit Saha's close friends travelled from Bangalore to Ujjain with his family for Mahakal Darshan. Like many pilgrims, they thought finding a place to stay would be easy. But after reaching Ujjain, they struggled to find a good room. Hotels were full, prices were too high, and some agents even showed fake room availability.

A few days later, after returning to Bangalore, his friend shared the entire experience with Amit. That conversation stayed in Amit's mind.

Amit was born and brought up in Ujjain. He knows the city, its people, its traditions, and the way pilgrims travel here. He also knows that Ujjain has hundreds of honest local families who are happy to welcome guests into their homes. The problem was simple — pilgrims couldn't find these trusted homes, and local families didn't have a platform to reach them.

That's when Amit decided to build Ujjain Homestay.
